Fusion was first launched in 2005 in partnership with Asian Image and this year, for the first time, the awards included a new category - Food Business of the Year. Sponsored by Enterprise4All, this award was given to the most successful and innovative food manufacturer of the year. Its aim was to reward a business that had excelled in its commitment to customer service, originality and health and safety.
Competition for the coveted award was strong, and after intense judging the winner was named as Zaris Creations, a Blackburn based company specialising in the production of hand crafted cakes for special occasions.
At the event, Enterprise4All also sponsored a second category – the Entrepreneur of the Year award, an accolade which celebrates entrepreneurial spirit and seeks to acknowledge leaders of smaller and medium sized businesses who, in the past year, have made an extra effort to ensure their business reaches new heights. Safiya Hussain of parking fine appeals specialist Noparkingfine.co.uk was declared the winner, rounding off a thoroughly entertaining and highly inspirational awards night. Bring on Fusion 2012!
