The 2011 Fusion Awards are now open for nominations.
Recognising some of the unsung heroes in the region, the Awards celebrate a coalition of cultures and embrace the wide diversity of people that makes Britain great.
Fusion was first launched in 2005 in partnership with Asian Image and this year, for the first time, the awards will include a new category - Food Business of the Year - which is sponsored by Enterprise4All through its Think Food & Drink project.
The other category that E4All is sponsoring is the Entrepreneur of the Year award, which celebrates entrepreneurial spirit and seeks to recognise leaders of smaller and medium sized businesses who, in the past year, have had to make an extra effort to ensure their business reaches new heights.
Other categories include:
-
Community Group of the Year
-
Man of the Year
-
Woman of the Year
-
Achievement in Sport Award
-
Public Service Award
-
Community Cohesion Award
-
Youth Leadership Award
-
Education Achievement Award

Note that Think Food & Drink is part of the Food and Drink Growth Programme - an initiative managed by Food Northwest Ltd and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
