PHIL BURGESS
Non-executive Director
Phil has a thorough grounding in manufacturing, sales, distribution and international trade. A respected business leader, he has led operations and companies with a turnover of up to £65 million.
He began his career in engineering, working in Africa and the UK and taking a series of senior managerial roles. Later, he moved into the field of management consultancy and in 1996, he accepted the position of Chief Executive at Business Link East Lancashire, in which post he remained until 2004.
In December 2004, he founded PBAS, a specialist consultancy serving the public sector, where he continues to work as Managing Director. In March 2006, he added to his responsibilities by becoming CEO of Survey Inspection Systems Ltd. after a management buy-out.
Phil is passionate about two key subjects – growing small and medium sized businesses, and improving performance management. This, coupled with his integrity and wide ranging business experience, ensured that he was a very welcome addition to Enterprise4All when he joined its board of directors in February 2008.
